Pad printing is a printing process where a 2D image is transferred onto a 3D object. We accomplish this by using an indirect offset printing process that involves an image being transmitted from the cliche, via silicone pad, onto a substrate.
Physical changes within the ink film on the cliche and pad, allow the ink to leave an etched image that adheres to the pad. Then the inks releases from the pad and attaches to the substrate. The properties of the silicone pad enable it to pick up the image from the flat surface and transfer it to a variety of surfaces.
